You know that I am a chocolate lover. Who the heck isn’t?
But this chocolate is actually good for you. I know! Good for you. Coconut oil is just such an amazing fat. It is so versatile and it makes for the best homemade chocolate. In this recipe, we also add a nut or seed butter to add some extra protein. So, for me, this makes the best afternoon snack.
ingredients
1/2 cup of organic coconut oil
1/2 cup of organic raw cacao or cocoa
1/3 cup of seed or nut butter (I like tahini or hazelnut for the holiday. Otherwise, I love peanut butter or tahini)
1/3 cup of honey or maple syrup (for sugar free, about 8-10 drops of stevia)
1/3 teaspoon of Himalayan or grey sea salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla powder or extract (optional)
1 cup of toasted nuts, seeds, dried fruit, coconut flakes
